Data Protection
for the Beamium Service

These data protection provisions set out how we will process
your personal data when you use Beamium.

1. Collection, processing and use of personal data
Personal data is only collected when you provide such data to us in the course of the execution of a contract, upon opening a user account, or when making contact with us. In the absence of express consent, this data is used exclusively for contract execution, provision of the services and dealing with your inquiries. By providing your e-mail address, you agree that such e-mail address may be used to send you specific information relating to the platform (e.g., the specific presentation) as well as relevant newsletters. Upon the final performance of all contractual obligations, your data will be stored subject to appropriate limitation periods under commercial and taxation law, and will be deleted upon the expiration of such periods.

2. Transmission of personal data
We will not transmit any of your personal data, unless you have consented to such transmission or we are otherwise legally entitled to do so.

3. Cookies
Our website uses "cookies," which are used in order to make our site more user friendly, more effective, and more secure in general - for instance, in order to speed up your browsing of our site. Moreover, cookies enable us to measure the number of page views and to assess general browsing behavior. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer. We draw your attention to the fact that some of these cookies are transferred from our servers to your computer system. You are of course entitled to reject cookies at any time, providing your browser supports this functionality.

4. Use of Google Analytics
Our website and our mobile application (our "Service") use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files that are stored on your computer or other device and which allow your use of the website and/or app to be analyzed. Information that is collected by the cookie about your use of the Service is generally transmitted to Google servers, which are located in the USA, and stored on such servers.

If your IP address anonymization is activated during your use of the Service, your IP address may nevertheless be truncated by Google as part of a process carried out within member states of the European Union or other signatory states of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases are full IP addresses truncated after being transmitted to Google's servers in the USA. Google will use this information, on behalf of the operator of the Service, to analyze your use of the Service, to generate reports about website activities and to provide additional information about the use of the website and any internet-connected services to the website operator.

The IP address provided by your browser during the use of Google Analytics will not be transmitted by Google in conjunction with other data. You can prevent cookies from being stored by configuring your browser software; however, if you choose to do so, we draw your attention to the fact that, in certain circumstances, you may not be able to use all of this website's functions to their full capabilities. You can also prevent any data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being transmitted to Google, and prevent Google from processing these data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

We further draw your attention to the fact that our Service uses Google Analytics with the "_anonymizeIp()" extension, and thus only processes IP addresses in a truncated form, in order to exclude any link to any identifiable person.

5. Use of Facebook plugins
We have integrated plugins provided by the Facebook social network into our site. A list, as well as a visual depiction of these Facebook plugins, can be viewed at the following web address: http://developers.facebook.com/plugins

Each time a webpage that features one of these plugins is downloaded, the plugin causes the plugin layout to be downloaded from the Facebook server and then displayed. The Facebook server is thereby informed of the particular page on our site that you are visiting.

If you are a Facebook member and are logged in during your visit to our website, Facebook will recognize the particular page on our site that you are visiting, from the information sent by the plug in, and will update your Facebook account with this information. If you then activate one of the plugins, for instance by clicking on the "Like" button or by submitting a comment, this will be transmitted to your Facebook account, and stored in that account profile. In addition, the fact that you have visited our website will be transmitted to Facebook, whether or not you activate the plugin.

To prevent the transmission and storage of data about you and your browsing behavior to and by Facebook, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our site. In order to block the collection and transmission of your user data by Facebook plugins in future, you can obtain a browser add-on known as "Facebook Blocker" for certain browsers by clicking on the following link: http://webgraph.com/resources/facebookblocker Please do not delete the browser add-on if you wish to continue to block Facebook plugins.

Facebook's data protection policy, including more information about the way in which Facebook collects and uses data, your rights in this respect as well as the privacy settings that are available to you, is available at the following address: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

6. Information about your rights and contact details
You have the right to receive information, free of charge, about data that is stored about you, and to have this data corrected, restricted, or deleted. If you have questions about the creation, processing, or use of your personal data, please contact us. The same applies in respect of any requests for information about, or applications to have your personal data restricted, deleted, or corrected, as well as any withdrawal of any previously given consent. You can contact us at support@slideflight.com. The complete contact details are available from our Legal Notices page.
